Group begins massive campaign against Cervical Cancer

A non-governmental organisation says it is set to begin a massive campaign in january against the scourge of cervical cancer in Nigeria.

President of El-Beulah Foundation and Queen of Electronic Media Nigeria, Gift Okolie disclosed in Lagos that raising awareness levels against the disease, and providing free screening for Nigerian women should be the responsibility of both the public and private sectors.

Okolie stressed that if cervical cancer is not seriously tackled, its multiplier effect will spread to the entire population of the country.

a, Sudan and Mauritania while Angola, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville and Burkina Faso are in group D.
