Governor Seriake seeks JTF support in tackling kidnapping, sea piracy

Image result for Sea piracyBayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson, has charged the Joint Task Force “Operation Delta Safe” to vigorously undertake efforts that will lead to curbing kidnapping, sea piracy and sundry crimes in the maritime environment.

Governor Dickson gave the charge when he received the new Commander, Rear Admiral Akinjide Akinrinade who is also seeking the partnership of government to protect national assets in the state.

Ovieteme George  reports that when Rear Admiral Akinjide Akinrinade took over as Commander of Joint Task Force “Operation Delta Safe” on the 5th of April, he emphasized the role of collaboration in dealing with crime and protecting national assets.

The new Joint Task Force Commander and top officers took the message to the Bayelsa Government House when he met with Governor Seriake Dickson.

There were more security issues and partnership to discuss when the new Air Officer Commanding Mobility Command, Air Vice Marshal Peter Uzezi met with the Bayelsa Governor.
