FULL LIST: 2026 Budget Breakdown For Ministry Of Defence

Following the formal presentation of the 2026 budget by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the joint session of the National Assembly, the Budget Office of the Federation has provided a detailed breakdown of the ₦3,154,393,400,291 allocation to the Ministry of Defence.

During the presentation, President Tinubu disclosed that ₦5.41 trillion was allocated for the national security and defence architecture to tackle the rising menace of banditry and terrorism.

President Tinubu, while presenting the 2026 budget, stated that his administration is focused on investing in security with clear accountability for outcomes, stressing that security spending must deliver security results.

Among the focus areas outlined by the president are the modernization of the Armed Forces, intelligence-driven policing and joint operations, border security, and technology-enabled surveillance, as well as community-based peacebuilding and conflict prevention.
