First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to take collective responsibility for protecting the environment by adopting clean and sustainable energy practices.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday to mark the 2026 International Day of Clean Energy, Tinubu described environmental protection as a shared obligation that requires active participation from all citizens.

She said the occasion, themed “Clean Energy for People and Planet,” highlights the urgent need for individuals and institutions to support renewable energy solutions in order to safeguard public health and the future of the planet.

“I urge us all to embrace renewable energy and sustainable technologies as an essential foundation for survival, healthy living, and environmental stewardship,” she said.
