A technical personnel working with a firm managing Telecommunication Mass in Isa local government area of Sokoto has escaped from the den of kidnappers that abducted him along Isa/ Sabon Birni road two weeks ago.
A source close to the victim said the victim was abducted between Isa and Sabon Birni local government on his way to check a faulty Telecommunication Mass two weeks ago.
Narrating how the victim escape, the source says the victim trickled one of the kidnappers who was asked to guard him that he want to ease himself while the other members of the gang went out in search of other victims to be kidnapped.
He said lone kidnapped unchained the victims who then engaged him in a fight and overpowered him and ran out of the camp to a safe location within Isa town and later find his way to a safe location
Meanwhile fourteen persons have also been confirmed to have escaped from kidnappers den in Isa local government area after spending time with the kidnappers in their camp.
The Chairman of the Isa local government area, Abubakar Yusuf, confirmed the development to newsmen saying the victims are receiving medical attention in a medical facility in the town.
Locals said the victims escaped from camp of bandits loyal to kidnap kingpin Bello Turji who have troubling the Eastern Senatorial District of Sokoto state and parts of Zamfara state.
The chairman said eleven of the escaped victims are from Sokoto state while the remaining are from Zamfara state.
Spokesman of the Sokoto state police command Assistant Supritendent of Police Sanusi Abubakar refused to answer call put through his mobile line seeking police confirmation of the development.
