Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has underscored the importance of strengthening internal security mechanisms as a foundational step towards achieving sustainable economic growth and development in the state.
The Governor stated this while receiving participants of Senior Course 47 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, on a courtesy visit to Government House, Asaba.
Delta state participants on a study on “Harnessing Grassroots Intelligence for Enhanced Internal Security” were led by Brigadier General Al-Hassan Grema and met Governor Oborevwori .

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori prioritises peace and security to promote stability and growth in Delta State.
The Participants visited the office of the Secretary of the State Government.
Due to its achievements in sustaining peace and security, Delta state has become the destination for such study tour as only a week ago National Institute of Security Studies visited the state to study Non-state Actors participation in security of the nation.
