American global pharmaceutical company, Eli Lily says it will cut thirty five hundred jobs, about 8 percent of its global workforce.

This is part of the company’s restructuring plan to cut cost by $500 million a year.

Eli Lily plans to use the cost savings to improve the structure and reinvest in its business.

The company’s Chief executive says the actions will result in global organisation, boost growing revenue and expand the flow of life changing medicines.
