Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has signed into law, the 2017 budget of two hundred and fourteen billion naira, for the fiscal year.
Eighty three point four billion naira was earmarked for recurrent expenditure, while one hundred and thirty-one point four billion naira, was budgeted for capital expenditure.

El-Rufai said the budget was deliberately skewed, rising from one hundred and seventy-two billion naira approved for 2016, due to economic recession.
The 2017 budget retained the pro-poor programmes, which he added, include improving access to education, healthcare, infrastructure, jobs and security.
