Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians on the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, calling on citizens to rekindle their hope and renew their commitment to nationhood.
In his goodwill message, Kalu acknowledged Nigeria’s challenges but expressed optimism about its progress towards greatness. He urged Nigerians to embrace patience, unity and resilience, stressing that the country’s diversity and determination remain key assets in driving development.
The Deputy Speaker highlighted President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as a reflection of the collective aspirations of Nigerians for a nation where citizens thrive and opportunities abound. He said the agenda represents a call to action for all Nigerians to work together in building a country that mirrors the dreams of the nation’s founding fathers.
“As we celebrate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, we reflect on our nation’s journey, achievements, and challenges,” Kalu said. “This milestone reminds us of the sacrifices made by our forebears and the collective efforts towards nation-building.”
Kalu reaffirmed his personal commitment to serving Nigerians as a federal lawmaker, pledging that the National Assembly would continue to prioritise people-centred legislation.
