Daniel Omoyibo, the chairman of Danmotech Foundation, a non-governmental organisation in Isoko, Delta State, has announced the foundation’s readiness to sponsor another 100 sets of youths across Isoko Nation to Ofagbe Technical College as part of his empowerment programme for the youngsters.

Omoyibo said that the empowerment programme was a practical demonstration of his foundation’s commitment to addressing youth restiveness, redundancy and unemployment as well as contributing its own quota to the development of Isoko Nation.

Omoyibo, popularly known as Danmotech, made the announcement in Ofagbe, Isoko North Local Government Area on Thursday during Honourable Emmanuel Okoro’s special thanksgiving reception.

He said, “I am miffed by the way our youths who are future leaders of tomorrow, will run after political leaders and well-meaning personalities chanting Ose (father) just for N500 and N1000, which Isoko youths are not known for in the past.

“That is why my foundation decided to increase the number of our next set of youths for our empowerment programme to 100. The first set, which has 48 youth, are about graduating from Ofagbe Technical College and once they graduate, my foundation will give them starters pack to enable them earn a living for themselves as well as be employers of labour.”

He, however, urged the youth to register their names with the various communities’ presidents- general, noting that, “My empowerment is for all interested youth in Isoko Nation, who are jobless and are ready to work.
