Delta state government has organised a workshop for entrepreneurs, to enable them develop resilience to overcome challenges in the area of business interest.
This is because Delta state government believes strengthening the viability of small and medium scale enterprises in Nigeria will require periodic training and retraining of those who operate them.
TVC News Ikenna Amechi report that according to the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Nigeria has more than 37.07 million Micro, Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises which account for more than 84 percent of total jobs in the country but they are faced with a plethora of challenges from power to funding.
At a workshop put together by the Delta state government for entrepreneurs, speakers underscored the need for these businessmen and women to keep pressing on irrespective of difficulties they encounter.
The Delta state government has been in the business of developing entrepreneurs through various programmes in its job creation drive that has seen more than 4,500 young people trained and empowered.
But the government is not relenting as it engages relevant agencies and financial institutions to aid access to finance by these MSMEs.
