COVID-19: DG, Nig., Governors Forum Okauru, family self-isolate

The Director-General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Asishana Okauru has proceeded on self-isolation along with his entire family.

Mr Asishana says this move is to enable them closely monitor their health and identify any symptoms of the Coronavirus.

The Director General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum had been exposed to the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who tested positive to Coronavirus.

In a statement, Mr Okauru said “I attended different meetings of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the Nigerian Economic Council last week, which were also attended by the Bauchi State Governor,” .

“Consequently, my wife and I would be undergoing COVID-19 testing this week.

“All of the organizations to which my wife is affiliated have already begun ‘Work from Home’ in line with earlier Government directive.”

Mr Asishana says all staff of the Governor’s forum are in self isolation and also encouraged all those who were invited to the NGF meeting for presentation to self isolate.
