Coronavirus: NFF shuts down all football activities for four weeks

The Nigerian Football Federation has announced a suspension of all football activities in the country for the next four weeks, as a result of the global Coronavirus pandemic.

The suspension will include a shutdown of the Nigeria professional Football League, The Women’s Football league and activities of all National teams, including Youth and developmental Football.


According to a statement from the Football House, a review of the suspension will be considered after four weeks in line with events and trends around the world.

The NFF therefore advised all players, officials and Fans of the game to observe all safety precautions as advised by the Federal Ministry of Health, aimed at curtailing the spread of the disease in Nigeria.
