Visiting Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming said China would continue to support Kenya to build an industrial belt along the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).
The newly launched SGR is a demonstration of the strength of unity and cooperation between the two countries.
He said the newly constructed railway will not only facilitate Kenya’s industrialization but will also boost the economy of the country and the region.
Zhang, in his capacity as representative of President Xi Jinping, also spoke about the debt implication of the railway to Kenya.
