Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, Dr Betta Edu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose legacy continues to inspire national progress.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Edu said she joined millions of Nigerians and well-wishers across the world in celebrating the President, noting that his life journey reflects the power of courageous and resilient leadership in driving lasting development.
She stated that Tinubu’s political trajectory, marked by strategic foresight and unwavering determination, has continued to motivate a new generation of leaders, while his commitment to nation-building remains exemplary.
Edu further commended the President’s investments in the Nigerian economy and human capital development, which she said have strengthened institutions and positioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a credible and inclusive platform for Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.
She also highlighted the successful conduct of the party’s recent National Convention, describing it as rancour-free and all-inclusive, culminating in the emergence of a new leadership for the ruling party.
According to her, the achievement, coming on the eve of the President’s birthday, underscores what she described as a historic and divinely orchestrated moment for the APC.
Edu expressed gratitude to God for the President’s life and prayed for his continued good health, strength, and wisdom to lead the country towards greater unity, prosperity, and progress.
