Rights activist, Dele Farotimi has arrived at the magistrate court in Ado Ekiti.
He was brought in at exactly 9:45 am accompanied by officers from the rapid response squad of the Ekiti State police command and officials of the Nigeria Correctional service.
Farotimi is facing a sixteen count charge at the magistrate court in Ado Ekiti for allegedly defaming Afe Babalola in his book titled “Nigeria and its criminal justice system.
He is also facing a twelve count charge at the federal high court, Ado Ekiti where he was earlier granted bail.
Opinions have been divided since he was arrested in Lagos, subsequently charged to court in Ado Ekiti and remanded at the Correctional center in Ado Ekiti with key players including the yoruba socio cultural group, Afenifere calling for his release while others want Dele Farotimi to prove the allegations raised in his book at the court.
