The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu has congratulated Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke on his victory, following his affirmation as the duly elected governor of Osun State by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, 9th May, 2023.
Adebutu’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement released by his media aide, Afolabi Orekoya and made available to the press.
Adebutu described the victory as “Restoration of Hope”, adding that the Supreme Court’s judgement has further reinforced people’s belief in the judiciary as the last hope of the masses.
Adebutu also commended the good people of Osun for their endurance and unwavering support for PDP, despite the intimidation and oppression by the All Progressive Congress, APC in the State.
The statement reads – “I congratulate and rejoice with the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke on his victory as the duly elected governor of the “state of the living spring” at the Supreme Court.
“I also commend the Supreme Court for the firm judgement, which allows the will-power of the people to prevail over lies and falsehood from the All Progressive Congress, APC against the opposition.
“The firm judgement of the Apex Court has no doubt renewed the hope and belief of the people. It has indeed restored people’s confidence in the institution as the last hope of the masses.
“It is a great success for us all in PDP family across the country, and I strongly believe that our party will do its best to repositioning the State to the path of righteousness.
“I also use this medium to enjoin the people of Ogun State to be calm, steadfast, and also pray for our success to replicate the same victory in our State.
“I am optimistic that when we bring back the stolen mandate in a couple of months, Ogun State will be repositioned to the path of righteousness for the benefit of all” the statement said.
He further urged the Judiciary to continue delivering firm and concise judgments. Adebutu also hoped for PDP’s victory in the ongoing Tribunal across the country, especially, in Ogun state.
