Katsina state governor Dikko Umar Radda has launched a five billion Naira funds for MSME and Dikko BDS Vanguard Corp intervention programme.
This initiative is geared towards fostering growth, Development, innovation, and sustainability within the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which serves as the cornerstone of national economic growth.
Recent data from the National Bureau of statistics shows a 25.5 percent unemployment rate in Katsina with just about 438,000 people in the employment of government.
These indicators depicts a grave danger for a state still struggling with insecurity and population growth.
It is why Governor Radda’s administration is working round the clock to gainfully engage as much as possible a good number of youths under this programme.
This simply means injecting over five billion Naira into various businesses through partnership with the bank of industry.
The chief executives of SMEDAN , NEXIM bank and BOI (bank of industry) were also in attendance to provide support from the federal government.
For Governor Dikko Radda, building a robust and economically developed society will also translate into improved lives and livelihood.
Already the state and the Funding partners have signed a momerundum of understanding to kick Start the programme.
