The House of Representatives has urged the federal government to create a Special Security Fund to fight insecurity and other criminality in the country.
The fund being sought is apart from the yearly national budget.
The leadership of the House is also to meet with the parliaments of other countries, especially the United States of America with a view to overcoming all regulations that bar Nigeria’s security agencies from purchasing arms and ammunition from those countries including the USA.
The House has also mandated the Joint Committee of the House on Defence, Army, Bavy6, Air Force and Police to conduct the probe into the activities of all non governmental organisations operating in the North East.
The resolution was sequel to a motion of urgent public importance by the Chief Whip, Muhammed Monguno, which was a fallout of the meeting with the security agencies on Monday.
