Zamfara State Police Command has decorated nineteen newly Promoted officers with their new ranks.The Zamfara police Commissioner Ayuba Elkanah said, the promotion is a testimony of their hard work and Commitment to duty at all times
Nineteen Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were promoted to the substantive rank of Superintendents of Police (SPs).
The Zamfara Police boss tasked the officers to redouble their efforts and justify the confidence repose on them especially as the force is looking up to them to contribute in addressing the numerous challenges facing it at all levels.
“I charge you all to be more committed and always show professionalism in the discharge of your duty, to justify the gesture done to you by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba”CP Elkanah said.
“Now that you are promoted from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to the substantive rank of Superintendent of police (SP), more is expected from you and we hope to see positive change in the discharge of your Constitutional roles” he added

He added that the force will continue to do all within it’s power to improve the welfare of personnel.
The Commissioner further thanked the Inspector General of Police, and the Police service Commission for the promotion and other welfare initiative to officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force
This according to him, will go a long way in boosting the morale of the personnel and enhance service delivery
“I am particularly thankful to the Inspector General of Police, and the Police service Commission for doing the Needful by promoting officers that are due and also for improved welfare initiative to officers and men of the force, and I am so sure that it will go a long way in boosting the morale of the personnel and enhance service delivery” The Zamfara CP Said
The newly Promoted officers Includes Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadiq Umar, Officer In-charge Highway Patrol, SP Sadiq Mohammed, staff officer senior (SOS) SP Babangida Abubakar, P&G OPs, among others.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of newly Promoted officers, SP Babangida Abubakar expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba and the Police service commission for the Promotion and promise to reciprocate the gesture through hard work , Dedication, Commitment and in line with professional ethics and international best practices.
The Commissioner of Police was assisted in the exercise by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Dauda Mamman and Deputy Commissioner, Department of Finance and Administration Olugbenga Adepoju
The decoration ceremony was attended by senior Officers of the command, members of the management team, family and friends of the newly promoted officers among others.
