Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Zamfara State Ahmad Sani Kaura is dead
He died Wednesday afternoon at the age of 62 after a brief illness
Authorities of the Party in state confirmed his death to newsmen.
Party officials said Sani Kaura died shortly after he returned from a peace meeting alongside other party members Organised by the Zamfara state chapter of the Nigerian Council of Ulamas.

A chieftain of the party in the state, Aminu Umar, said Kaura was sick and had not fully recovered before attending meetings.
The meeting was to sue for peace among Political actors ahead of the full commencement of Political campaigns in the state and the 2023 General election
The deceased was said to have delivered a paper at the function before he fell sick and died a few hours later in a private Hospital
Ahmad Sani Kaura was elected Zamfara State PDP Chairman in 2021
Kaura succeeded Bala Mande as the chairman of the party in Zamfara in September this year after the former chairman voluntarily resigned his position to contest for Zamfara North Senatorial Election.
He is survived by two wives, six children and many relations.
He was buried Wednesday evening in his hometown Kaura Namoda.
