Zamfara state Governor, Dauda Lawal has approved the recruitment of four thousand two hundred civilian Joint Task Force to complement the efforts of security agencies in the state.Three hundred civilian JTF would be recruited in each of the fourteen local government areas

The recruits according to the plan would undergo rigorous physical training that would prepare them to assist security agencies with actionable intelligence to combat security threats

It is also expected to help Librate Communities and highways bedevilled by activities of Terrorists and other criminals

The decision was taken at the state executive council meeting chaired by Governor, Dauda Lawal at the Government House, Gusau

Key among other important issues discussed at the meeting is the lingering Security Challenges and the deteriorating condition of educational facilities in the State

The Council also approved the construction, renovation and furnishing of two hundred classrooms as part of Government’s commitment to increasing Educational opportunities

A press statement signed by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, says the measures will help address the lingering Security Challenges and improve the standard of Education in Zamfara

Governor Lawal believes that education is a fundamental right for all citizens and His government is committed to ensuring that every Zamfara child have access to quality education

The Government will construct, renovate and furnish 49 classrooms in Gusau, 11 in Anka, 15 in Bakura, 8 in Bukkuyum, 14 in Birnin Magaji, 8 in Bungudu, 8 in Gummi, 19 in Kaura, 8 in Maru, 11 in Maradun, 42 in Shinkafi, 8 Talata Mafara, 27 in Tsafe, and 11 in Zurmi local government areas

This decision is part of the current administration’s determination and commitment to curb the lingering insecurity issues and revamp Education across the fourteen Local Government areas of the State

This Development among others is coming within the one hundred days in Office of Dauda Lawal as Zamfara State Governor.

It is also coming a few days after the state government shutdown Cattle Markets In Five Local Councils of Tsafe, Maru, Anka, Bukkuyum and Zurmi to address cattle rustling.
