The Niger state Commissioner of Police CP Ogundele Ayodeji, has directed massive deployment of Police personnel and operational assets across the State to provide adequate security before, during and after the Yuletide.
The CP gave the directive to officers during his monthly conference with HODs/Area Commanders and DPOs .
He also directed Tactical Commanders, Area Commanders and DPOs to deploy men to public places, worship centres and other recreation centres to avoid any unexpected incidents.
The CP called on officers to strictly comply with operation orders drawn for the season and ensure high visibility policing across the highway in the State for adequate security of travelers and free flow of traffic for road users.
However, urged the general public, and Christian believers to be law abiding prior to, during, and after the Yuletide and to continue providing the Police with relevant information in order to maintain a tranquil atmosphere.
In addition to other responsibilities, he assured Nigerlites that the Command will continue to be dedicated to providing security, upholding law and order, and protecting people and their property.
