The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has called for the blending of tradition and modern technology for the nation’s economic development.
Oba Adeyeye was speaking in his palace while playing host to the people of Iseyin, Oyo state for the unveiling of Aso-Oke festival billed to hold next week.
He says it is time the resources Yoruba were blessed are developed for the economic benefit of the people.
He said Aso-Oke traditional wear which used to be every day cloth but now only worn during ceremony must be promoted as a way of bringing back one of the values of Yoruba people.
Aso ofi is the most beautiful cultural cloth of Yorubas which is world accepted and originally produce from Iseyin township in too state, I really appreciate the effort of ooni of ife for his commitment towards development of our culture and our economy as well, I also give thanks to the government of our state under the umbrella of his excellence senator Ishaq abiola ajimobi, and as well the Aseyin of Iseyin land, oba Dr. ganiyu solaudeen ologun ebi, ajinnese one.
