The Association of Foreign Relations Professionals of Nigeria (AFRPN) has asked the Federal Government to demand justice for the killing of its citizens living abroad in line with the country’s foreign policy.
This is because Protection of Nigerian citizens all over the world has been a guiding principle of this administration’s foreign policy.
Correspondent, Moyo Thomas reports that Nigerians are concerned about how consistent this foreign policy is, in line with the current realities as Nigerians abroad constantly face threats to their lives.
Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan, Ghana, South Africa, the stories are the same, Nigerians are malreated and even killed needlessly
There has been pressure on the federal government by some Nigerians in the country to take decisive action in order to curb or stop the killings of Nigerians especially in South Africa.
The Association of foreign Relations Professionals of Nigeria also believes it is important for Nigeria to demand restitution for every life lost abroad as this is the best approach to ending these deaths
The association says it would give an independent opinion on reforming Nigeria’s foreign policy and what needs to be done to reflect happenings around the world and it’s impact on Nigerians
