Works Minister, Fashola inspects ongoing projects in Lagos

The federal government says its investment and infrastructure will aid the growth of businesses in the country.

Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola stated this during an inspection of ongoing facilities within the Apapa-Oshodi-Ojota, Oworonsoki expressway.

The administration of president Muhammadu Buhari has undoubtedly devoted
the last seven years to infrastructural development which comes at a cost.

The minister of works and housing is in Lagos to inspect ongoing projects and embarked upon by the federal government.

The crew took a trip to Ojota-Oworonsoki, Oshodi-Apapa expressway to see the
extensive work done on the roads.

Mr Fashola said “infrastructure is the key that unleashes trading and productivity which is so strong on but without infrastructure you can’t trade and you can’t produce”.

The minister of works and housing noted that Apapa-Oworonsoki expressway is a major infrastructure asset for Import and Export business as it connects to the largest and the busiest Seaport in the country, the tin can Island and the Apapa Port.

He added that although the work is yet to be concluded, the difference is clear as there has been measurable and quantifiable progress.

The minister explained that infrastructure development will lead to economic growth of the people and ultimately the nation.

He went further to assure Nigerians of its resolve to complete ongoing projects in record time.
