The Edo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress has alleged that a proposed meeting of the South-South caucus of the party was called without due consultation.
In a statement, the state Chairman Onselm Ojezua said the meeting should be held in the zone, not at the private office of the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

According to Mr Ojesua , the purpose of the meeting is to procure and pass a vote of confidence on Mr Oshiomhole in spite of the series of “No Confidence” votes earlier passed in the state.
He therefore advised members to ignore the notice as a later date will be scheduled and communicated.
