Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun, has asked the Federal Inland Revenue Service to compensate states like Ogun that houses many companies and industries.
He made this known during the visit of the Chairman of the board of the Revenue Service to his Office in Abeokuta.
TVC News Correspondent, Kazeem Olowe reports that the strategic position of Ogun State as an industrial hub, informed the FIRS board’s visit to the state governor.
Led by the Chairman of the agency, the team said the target of N8.5 trillion given to them by the federal government is huge and they need the support of all state governments and their revenue agencies to perform
optimally.

Governor Abiodun noted that his administration has increased the revenue base of the state and that the state is one of the best in the country.
He urged the Revenue Service to find a way of compensating the state that houses most of the companies in the country, and remains the Gateway to Nigeria.
The Governor urged the team to see Ogun state as a worthy Partner with a vision to build the future of the state and the country together.
