‘We are ready to deploy full military might on insurgents’-Air force

Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, says the military is ready to deploy the full might of its force against any individual or group seeking to undermine the peaceful coexistence of Nigeria.

He spoke during an Eid el-Kabir lunch with troops of “Operation Lafiya Dole” at the Nigeria Airforce Base Yola.

Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole who have mounted a solid aerial resistance to Boko Haram in the north east, used the opportunity of the Eid celebration, to unwind.

The chief of air staff is encouraged by the gallantry of his men and assures them of government’s continued support in the effort to put an end to insurgency.

According to him, real gains which even social media criticisms can’t take away, are being made by the Airforce.

Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar also pointed important ways in which the federal government is motivating men of the armed forces.

The Commander 153 Base Service Group, Air Commodore Mohammed Yusufu, thanked the Chief Of Army Staff for celebrating the Eid El Kabir with them, and explained his visit meant to much to the troops.

Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri lauded the contributions of the air force in keeping Adamawa state, secure, and assured them of his administration’s commitment to supporting their activities. He also announced that the government will assist with the renovation of the air force barracks in Yola.

Among other things, permanent peace is the ultimate expectation, to enable displaced persons return to their homes, especially those affected in Madagali Local Government area, which shares a boundary, with Sambisa
forest.
