The meeting between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities has again ended in a deadlock.
This is coming two weeks after a similar one failed to reach a truce.

It looked like the issues at stake would be resolved when Labour minister Chris Ngige said he had been directed by President Muhammadu Buhari to QUOTE “pass the night here, until all issues that have kept children away from schools are resolved and the strike called off”.
But both parties couldn’t reach an agreement, and the strike continues.
