Odo-Ape community in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State has been thrown into confusion following deadly attacks by unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

The unknown gunmen reportedly killed two farmers who were going about their daily activities.

The incident which occurred on Friday has thrown the community into fear of future attacks by the yet to be identified gunmen in the area.

The two farmers killed were identified as Mr Black, a Tiv man, and Sunday Aiyedero.

TVC News later gathered that some youths in Odo-Ape on Saturday morning came out in their numbers to register their grievances on the escalating security crisis in their community, calling on the Government to immediately address the matter.

However, efforts to speak with the Police Public Relations Office, Kogi command, Williams Aya, proved abortive.
According to sources, the teenagers completely stopped the route from Odo-Ape to Obajana-Lokoja, ensuring that no vehicles moved on it.

It took several hours for security officials to clear the road, with the Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Zacchaeus Dare, the senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Senator Sunday Karimi, and others criticizing the act in separate speeches.
