The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation would next month commence a pilot export of Nigerian dried beans to the EU.
This is coming almost three years after a trade restriction was placed on Nigerian dried beans due to the high level of chemicals, pesticides and fertilizer.

He added that UNIDO have trained many Nigerian farmers on good agricultural practices.
UNIDO wants the Nigerian government to urgently approve the Nigerian National Quality Policy, which is currently at the ministerial level awaiting approval by the Federal Executive Council.
This certification, he says will curb product rejection or ban at EU countries and other parts of the world.
