Troops of 3 Division/Operation Safe Haven on Operation Golden Peace have conducted an intelligence based operation at Lugere Sho in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State.
The operation was premised on intelligence provided by a notorious kidnapper/terrorist earlier arrested on 22 Feb 25.
During the sting operation, troops captured another notorious kidnapper/terrorist at Kwok Village in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State.
The arrested suspects are making useful confessions in custody including their past criminal activities that led to one of them sustaining gunshot wounds in the past.
They confessed to participating in multiple kidnappings in Plateau and Nasarawa States.
The suspects have also mentioned some of their cohorts hibernating in different parts of Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State.
Troops are currently conducting follow-up operations to intercept and capture the remaining members of the criminal syndicate.
