15 persons believed to have participated in the Sunday midnight attack in Riyom local government area of Plateau State have been arrested by troops of 3 Division and Operation Safe Haven.

The arrest is coming less than 48 hours after a deadly invasion of gidan ado community by armed bandits,

The promise and assurance made  to the locals of the Gidan Ado community to arrest the perpetrators of the Sunday midnight invasion by the General Officer Commanding 3rd Division and Operation Safe Haven Commander, Major General AbdulSalam Abubakar, have been fulfilled.

During the attack, about 14 persons were reported to have lost their lives.

Now, 15 persons believed to have actively participated in the attack have been arrested in a swift action by the troops following intelligence.

The latest arrest is made known by the 3 Division Goc during an engagement with Denominational Heads at the headquarters of the 3 Division in Jos.

This stakeholder and cleric, says security operatives alone cannot achieve their mandate without the needed support from residents.

The leadership of the 3rd Division and Operation Safe Haven urges residents to be watchful and report to security operatives any suspicious movement sighted around their communities.
