President Bola Tinubu heartily felicitates former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Prince Segun Adesegun, on his 70th birthday on December 26.
The President shares in the joy of the celebration with the Ambassador-designate, who served twice as Commissioner for Works and Housing in Ogun State and also as a legislator.
President Tinubu notes the leadership qualities of the former Deputy Governor, both as a student leader in the 70s at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,
formerly University of Ife, and as a political leader since the 90s.
The President remarks: “Ambassador-designate Adesegun’s patriotism and commitment to democracy were clearly on display when he defied all odds, along with some of us, to fight for the sanctity of June 12 mandate of the late MKO Abiola, risking his life in the process.
“Since then, he has remained consistent in his belief in and fight for progressive good governance in the country.
“As a progressive, Adesegun played a remarkable role in the successes recorded since 2015 by the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State and beyond.”
President Tinubu prays for more years of good health for the party stalwart and his family.
