Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has received the remains of the former president, Shehu Shagari in Sokoto, the state capital. Shagari died on Friday at the age of 93 after a brief illness. Shagari died on Friday at the age of 93 after a brief illness.
He will be buried at 2pm today in his home town, Shagari, according to the Islamic rites.
