The Chairman Talata Mafara Local Government area in Zamfara State, Yahaya Yari Abubakar said his administration is committed to returning children of the poor and those affected by insecurity to the classroom as a move to encouraging western education.

The chairman also says he will continue to bring development to the local council by way of reducing poverty and improving the living standard of his people.

Yahaya Yari disclose at an event organized by Talata Mafara local government to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

The event brought together people including public and private school pupils from across the local government and the state at large.

Mr. Yari also expressed the readiness of the Local government to bring new life to the education sector by boosting enrollment in schools at all levels.

” Under my watch Education sector in our Local government will experience transportation and we will do our very best to return out of school children to the classroom ” Yari Said.

“Children that could not attend school due to poverty or Insecurity will be our priority in this case” He added.

This move according to Mr Yari is inline with the Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration’s drive in the education sector which led to the declaration of state of emergency in the sector.

Yahaya Yari enjoin parents and guardians to increase enrollment of their children and wards in school as that will encourage development in the Local government.
