Syria and Iran have signed series of agreements and memoranda of understanding, including a long-term economic cooperation deal which Syria’s Prime Minister Emad Khamis.
The agreements covered a range of fields including economy, culture, education, infrastructure, investment and housing.
In a press conference in Damascus after the meeting between visiting first vice president of Iran Eshaq Jahangiri and Khamis, they said the two countries are looking to further strengthen their economic ties.
Iran has been a key supporter to the Syrian government in the face of the more than seven-year-long insurgency.
