Hosts Ogun State are looking good to top the medals table for badminton at the National Sport Festival, Gateway Games in Abeokuta.
The pair of Dorcas Adesokan and Aminat Ilori representing Ogun State defeated Team Rivers in the women’s doubles final for the third gold medal for the hosts.
Ogun State defeated Rivers State by three games to one to win the gold.
MIXED DOUBLES
In the mixed doubles Oyo State strolled to a three straight set victory over Kwara State for the gold medal.
Team Oyo defeated Team Kwara 21-16 and 21 -12 to now trail Ogun State in second place on the badminton medals table.
The Badminton event at Sport Festival comes to an end today at the Lake Sport Centre.
