Former President Goodluck Jonathan has arrived in Sokoto to commiserate with the family of former president Shehu Shagari.
Shagari died on Friday at the age of 93 and was buried on Saturday according to the Islamic rites.
He was Nigeria’s first elected president between 1979 and 1983.

President Muhammadu Buhari was also in Sokoto earlier today to commiserate with the family of the deceased and the government of Sokoto state.
