Image result for Senate concludes Ministerial screening todayPresident of the Senate, Ahmed LAwan has disclosed that the ministerial screening of the 43 nominees sent by President Muhammadu Buhari to be concluded on Tuesday.

This is part of the ongoing process to give president Muhammadu Buhari, the team that will propel the promised Next Level Agenda.

So far, forty nominees have been screened, including the nine Ministerial Nominees that were grilled and screened at the Senate on Monday.

TVC NEWS Senior correspondent Femi Akande reports that the Senate ministerial screening continues to get knocks and kudos from different quarters. But gradually the 43 nominees will soon all be screened.

On the fourth day of the screening, former minister of Works Power and Housing faced a senate with so many questions and indeed he had to answer
all of them. From infrastructure development to affordable housing, from issues in the power sector to road construction.

The questions didn’t stop coming, but Babatunde Fashola also pointed out the paucity of funds and its impact on national growth and development.

Former Governor of the State of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola also had a quite interesting screening process but most of the comments from federal lawmakers were commendations for a man fresh out of office as governor.

Another nominee Gbemisola Saraki from Kwara state enjoyed the privilege extended to former Lawmakers. But for the former minister of Foreign affairs Geoffrey Onyeama he had some talking to do.

After screening, the list of the nominees is now subject to the confirmation of the senate before they are sworn in as substantive ministers.

Nigerians have waited for more than two months for President Muhammadu to form his cabinet, but clearly that wait will be over soon.
