The House of Senate, on Wednesday, began the screening process of the newly appointed service chiefs.
Proceedings commenced after lawmakers suspended the Senate rules to admit the nominees and their guests into the chamber.
Led in by the Sergeant-at-Arms and accompanied by the Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, the Service Chiefs took turns introducing themselves and outlining their credentials.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Oluyede, who had earlier been screened for the position of Chief of Army Staff, is the first to take the stand, followed by the newly appointed heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
After their brief introductions, the floor will be declared open for questions from Senators, marking the formal start of the screening process.
