Twelve kidnap Victims Including a five Months old baby have been rescued by Security operatives in Zamfara after one month in Captivity
The Victims Include three Men, Seven Women and two toddlers
They were abducted at their residence in Rungawa village, Talata Mafara Local Government area and we’re taken to a camp of a Notorious Bandit Kingpin Bello Maibille in a deep forest known as Kare Kukanka forest “Meaning your shout is in vain”
A press statement signed by the Zamfara police spokesperson Supritendant Mohammed Shehu says the victims were rescued by the Police Tactical Operatives attached to 42 PMF Squadron Gusau, while on joint operations with Local vigilante group near the forest
He noted that the unconditional rescue of the victims was as a result of intelligence gathering
The victims according to the police were medically checked at the 42 PMF Mobile police Clinic Gusau, thereafter, debriefed and reunited with their families
The Police authorities while congratulating the victims for regaining freedom, assures the public of it’s Commitment to apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act and brought them to book
The Zamfara police boss further commend the effort of the joint Police and Local vigilante patrol team for a job weldone and enjoins all and sundry to be security conscious and report suspicious movements to the Police or any security Agency for prompt action
The Development is coming barely twenty four hours after Kolo Yusuf assumed office as the 32nd Commissioner of Police in Zamfara
It is also two weeks after a Notorious Bandit Kingpin Bello Turji announces his Repentance from Banditry which many insisted he must lay down his arms publicly before he can be taken serious.
