Residents of Nuñya and environs in Isuikwuato local government area of Abia State say the hardship they have experienced over the years due to deplorable roads will soon be over with the commencement of the road construction.
They stated this when Governor Alex Otti flagged off the 11.5kilometres Nunya – Oboro road for construction.
Inaugurating roads for construction in Abia State is gradually becoming a weekly event since the inception of Alex Otti’s administration.
The intention is to fix all roads that have economic importance.
For the Governor, he is committed to making the communities in Abia economically viable.
The Commissioner for Works, while giving specifications for the road project, assured that the road will stand the test of time.
Residents were alsoare also advised to give support to the contractor on site to enable them deliver the road in record time.
