Some vulnerable residents of Osun State have appealed to the State Government to use it’s market men and women associations to compel traders to stop arbitrary increase of prices of food items.
They spoke with TVC News during a food distribution programme organized for them by a nongovernmental Organization in Ibokun.
It’s the monthly distribution of food items to the vulnerable residents of Ibokun most of whom are widows and persons living with disabilities.
Venue is the palace of Baabokun of Ibokun.
The gesture began six months ago by the NGO to cushion effects of the fuel subsidy removal which led increase in prices of food items.

He seeks collaboration of the state Government to provide succor to the people.
The beneficiaries described the gesture as timely.
They want Government to prevail on market women to stop arbitrary increase of prices of food Items.
The event recorded two hundred and fifty beneficiaries who received Rice, Beans and Garri.
