Represented by several government Ministries, enforcement agencies and their representatives as citizens of Lagos.

Some key recommendations from the workshop were enlightened to help the society at large.

For the Forum, policy dialogue must be based on open minds and willingness to offer as well as receive compromise in pursuit of a share.

They also added that policy agreement must be subject to ongoing review.

According to Rob Arckrill, a lecturer at Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom, the informal economy is a normal economy for most people in Lagos and across the country, and thus finding a way to enable people to earn a living and support themselves and their families through non-criminalized means is critical.

According to researchers, it is critical for people to contribute to policy formation because they are more likely to latch onto it fast because they were a part of its formulation; they will appreciate it and be willing to contribute to the economy’s growth.

The Forum agreed to bring stakeholders together on a regular basis to maintain momentum in negotiations.
