The House of Representatives is hosting a Citizens’ Townhall on the 2024 Budget and Appropriation Process.
The event is to get the inputs of Nigerians into the N27.5 trilllion fiscal document presented to the two chambers of the National Assembly last Wednesday.
The Townhall affords citizens the opportunity to scrutinise governments spending plan in the new year.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian government and the Commonwealth have entered into talks on the prospects for deep sea mining.
The Nigerian government says this is in its determination to mobilise international assistance to position Nigeria’s solid minerals sector for favourable global competitiveness.
The Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake, says President Bola Tinubu has identified the solid minerals sector as a.pillar of Nigeria’s current efforts to diversify the economy.
