Both chambers of the National Assembly have passed a resolution inviting President Muhammadu Buhari to brief parliament on efforts by the Federal Government to get Nigeria out of recession.
The Senate on Thursday unanimously concurred with an earlier motion of the House of Representatives on the need for the executive to convince federal lawmakers that its diversification programme is on course.
With this development, President Buhari is expected to address a joint session of the National Assembly at an undisclosed date to intimate them on plans to urgently get Nigeria out of recession.
