The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), retired Deputy Inspector General of Police Hashimu Argungu, has congratulated Nigerians on the country’s 65th Independence anniversary, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to police reforms.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Management and Staff of the Commission, Argungu extended warm felicitations to the Government and People of Nigeria, as well as to officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force and the staff of the PSC. He urged them to remain steadfast in service to the nation.

The PSC Chairman noted that Independence Day is not only a time of celebration but also a moment for sober reflection on the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers and the collective responsibility to build a united, peaceful and prosperous country.

He called on police officers nationwide to rededicate themselves to professionalism, discipline and integrity in the discharge of their duties, stressing that the Commission is committed to reforms aimed at building an efficient, motivated and accountable Police Force.

“As we celebrate our Independence, let us renew our faith in Nigeria and continue to work together in unity and love. The challenges may be daunting, but with resilience and commitment, our nation will continue to thrive,” Argungu said.

The Commission also prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity for the country.
