Ekiti State Government has made cash donations to some deserving citizens of the state to alleviate their conditions.Governor Kayode Fayemi was represented by his Chief of Staff who presented the money to the beneficiaries at the Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti.
One of the beneficiaries of the cash gift by the Fayemi administration told TVC News that he lost his trading business to demolition by the immediate past administration in the state and also suffered a stroke thereafter.
Another beneficiary, Theresa Owolabi, used to be a successful raw yam seller but her business collapsed some two years ago.
Succour has come the ways of the two traders, as well as several others, who have one form of financial challenge or the other.
Speaking for Governor Fayemi, his Chief of Staff, explained that the Fayemi administration is a listening government that has the love of the common man at heart.
Biodun Omoleye then presented the government largess to the beneficiaries.
The Chief of Staff made it clear that this would not be a one – off event, as the Fayemi administration would continue to show its helping hands to the needy.
